Hopefully this is not an unintended April Fool's joke. I have only added once or twice to the web story thus far but plan on being more active here along with my reading blog on WordPress, Picnic with a Book. There are many stressful events and changes about to happen this month from state testing at work (I'm a high school English teacher) to my move into my own studio apartment. This move will be the first time I am living 100% on my own, let me tell you, I've accumulated a lot of "stuff" over the years! I will definitely need to throw some things out and leave some things boxed just to have room to walk around the 525 square foot layout. I will not be signing up for cable so my free time can be used to craft, write, draw, take pictures, blog, paint, etc. (and play minecraft) instead of binge watching TV...unless I'm visiting my boyfriend for the weekend then binge watching our fave series is totally allowed and expected; plus movie marathons!
This is a year of changes, from my last post stating this journey started over the summer from bad break up to the rediscovery of myself, my birthday at the end of the month is sure to be awesome (though I will be celebrating 32! later than my actual birthday due to logistics). I have state testing next week, taking vacation from the 19th through the 22nd to see San Antonio (expect pictures & written accounts!), though my new lease starts on the 19th I wont be moving in until the 22nd after returning from vacation. The week leading up to my birthday and the day of will be spent unpacking, organizing, decorating my new place (plenty of bookstagram photos for my reading blog account will be had!), and adjusting to being on my own for once. The night of my birthday I hope to have a movie or dinner date with my sweetheart as we'll also be celebrating 6 months around that time. May 4th the beau and I will be heading to my parents' to visit them and my brothers for my birthday celebrations. I am a woman who likes to have a generalized plan but never expects things to happen just the way I intend them to. Speaking of plans and intent, April is National Poetry Writing Month! A part of why I am cleaning up and reorganizing the blog is to post my poems for this month. The idea is to write a new poem a day; this gal has just finished work and needs to run errands before she can sit and scribble in her journal (I have a writing prompt journal just for poetry).
